THE BEST-LAID PLANS OF MICE & MEN...

It's easy to become discouraged & listen to the negative voices in my head after a month like August. I realize that my month does not compare in the least bit to many individuals who live so close to me, their lives have been turned up-side-down.
However, BSM was poised for an EPIC start to our semester.

• BSM Kickoff Cookout (giving away 400+ Hot Dogs) on August 29th (CANCELLED because of Harvey).
• Our 1st FREE LUNCH scheduled for the 2nd week of classes on Sept. 5th was moved outside & changed to a "1st day of school" BSM event (with the help of a local church we gave out 30 pizzas and talked to over 100 students). 
• 1st Night of Worship (Sept 10th) was a fantastic night in the Presence of Yahweh... but our 1st two events would have allowed us a great push on campus and more visibility.
• Our 2nd FREE LUNCH, which was scheduled and confirmed for a specific room on campus was double booked! We had 11 pizza's and hungry students waiting for our room today... but no open room. We scrambled ... found a room ... shared pizza & about 20 min's together and went on our way.

PRAY

• that the 36 students who came to lunch today... will seek us out again next week.
• for a confirmation of a new room / space on campus ASAP.
• for Tamara as she juggles 3 jobs (& a family) to get to be on campus with students... that amidst all the things that seemingly have gone against great plans, & her many jobs, that she will be encouraged by her time on campus as well as find pleasure in the journey of following Yahweh in his plans on campus.
• give thanks for the many volunteers that make this ministry happen. Without them and our church partners this ministry simply would not happen as they do so much of what Tamara simply cannot and does not have time to do.
